Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule

Locations
The Exam Schedule lists the locations in which DEP conducts operator certification exams. If you need special accommodations due to chronic illness, hearing or visual impairment or other disabilities make contact with the exam provider and provide detailed documents when you register.
The Faculty Dashboard in Workday includes a "View My Teaching Schedule" that allows faculty to locate their exam schedules. Additionally, the Registrar's Office has a list of exam times for courses where an exam is required by NYSED regulations. Final exams for classes that are held in the evenings are scheduled for the regular class meeting times of the final exam weeks.

Registration
Students are encouraged to consult the exam schedule online. However it is crucial to note that the final exam schedule could be altered at any time. Therefore, students should consult their instructors to make sure they have the correct date and time for their test. Students should also print out the official list to bring with them to their exam.
Students should also be familiar with the rules and conditions of the exam in addition to the exam schedule. These are on the page for each exam. After registering, students acknowledge that they accept these terms and conditions.
Exam locations try their best to accommodate those with special requirements. The nature and severity of these needs must be stated on the registration form and verified by an attestation from a doctor. In addition the exam sites must be kept confidential.
If a student has three exams scheduled for the same day, it is suggested that they contact their department or instructor to arrange an exam to make up. It is possible to take three exams on the same day. However, this can result in a lot of stress and can affect the quality of the exam. Additionally, the professor may not be able to give a makeup exam on a different day.
Before taking the test, students must prepare by reviewing their study material and practice their German skills. The exam is a paper-based test which measures the ability to speak, read, and write in German. The test results are given using a scale of A1 to C2. Students who pass the test are awarded the Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate confirms that the student has reached language level A1. This level is the initial stage of the six-level scale of competence outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The examination is free of charge. Students must carry a valid government ID to the test. Those without a valid photo identification will be disqualified.
Fees
You will have to pay an exam fee for the opportunity to receive the Goethe-Zertifikat (start German 1) after you have completed your Elan Academy studies. This is in addition to the cost of the course.
Practice tests allow you to get an understanding of the style of the questions, their wording, and the difficulty of the questions on the test. They help you assess your knowledge, spot gaps and improve your chances of acing the test.
It is important to note that the exam fee isn't refundable. The results of the examination can only be received by email and not by telephone.
